The Fisher 
is very suitable for searching for very small objects, especially small nuggets and gold flakes, thanks to its very high operating frequency, set at 71 KHz.
Fisher Gold Bug-2 can discriminate ferrous metals, such as small nails and bar wire.
The search sensitivity is adjustable, as are both the volume and the ground balance level.
Power is supplied by 2 9 Volt batteries, which allow a working autonomy of approximately 30 – 35 hours of work. The search coil is oval and measures 6.5” and is waterproof.
CONTROLS
Volume: this potentiometer allows you to turn the metal detector on and off and also allows you to adjust the audio volume.
Sensitivity (battery test): allows you to adjust the search sensitivity and also allows you to perform a battery charge test.
Ground Reject: this potentiometer allows you to ignore the mineralization of the ground and allows searches on any surface.
Mode: allows you to select the type of search. This switch can be adjusted in three distinct positions: iron disc (iron discrimination), normal (all metal searches) and Audio Boost (to amplify the signals emitted by small objects placed at depth).
Headphone jack: allows you to use headphones (mono or stereo), with a ¼” jack.
